Lord Bless Me

Lord bless me and bless me a lot. That was in one of our devotionals this past week. Just what we need. His hand of blessing on our lives, so that we can in turn bless others.

We had to send an updated deed requested by the SDA (state department of adoption) last week. It was received on Monday in Ukraine by our facilitator, translated and submitted yesterday. We hope to hear of our appointment date next week. We've kept busy doing lots of correspondence with other adoptive parents. They are a wealth of encouragement and useful information. We been so happy to establish these new relationships. That's one thing about connecting with a brother or sister in Christ...you already have a mutual place to move forward from and we all just want to help one another through whatever is at hand. Every situation is different but they are all similar too.

The last few weeks we've been giving some thought to the new adoption ministry at our church, Open Arms. There are so many directions we could go. Please pray as we take the time to see where the Lord wants this to go. It's all about Him and how we can be His hands to orphans. We hope to start by meeting with interested families to find out what others needs are and try to go forward from there.

It's time to start thinking about what to pack and what to take. There is just so much we would like to take to the orphans that we won't be bringing home. We just want to love on them while we are there and if anything can make their day a little brighter, that would be our heart. We are open to any ideas or suggestions particularly from those who have gone before us.

As always, please continue to pray for our finances. We still have a ways to go.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend,....be blessed indeed.
